Copacabana, is the place for the Latin hip-swingers and fast-footed. Since its relocation, the club can easily fit accommodate a crowd of 4,000 and by 6:30pm on Tuesday evenings--the only weeknight the club opens its doors--expect to see hundreds in line outside for the weekly after-work party. The rice, beans, veggies and entree selections in the free buffet are basic, but it beats the average happy hour's greasy buffalo wings. Plus, you get to kick up your heels on the early side. The plastic, glowing palm trees and the latin rhythms whisk the crowd away, but only those 25 and older are permitted entry.

Barry Manilow sang it: "Music and passion were always in fashion at the Copa...." Swing the night away to merengue and salsa under disco balls and lit-up palms in this great and glamorous venue. Obey the dress code (no jeans) and sway to the best of live music. The downstairs room features hip-hop and house music. Tuesdays the only weeknight the doors open, and from 6pm-8 pm, guests can also enjoy a buffet with their bachata.

This Latin dance hall has relocated and doubled in size since the time it inspired Barry Manilow, but live salsa and merengue bands continue to reign over the hip-shaking, shoulder-rolling crowd. Beneath the swirling disco balls and glowing plastic palm trees of the vast Carmen Miranda Room, pro dancers rip it up next to novices just riding the beat. Downstairs, the smaller, darker Copa Room pumps hip-hop and dance.

They have free dance lessons from 6-8. The dance floor is huge!! The people there are very friendly, and don't get upset when you accidently bump into them. They are also friendly and offer some dance tips. They also have a free buffet, which isn't half bad. On Thursday ladies 18 and over can get in but on Saturdays you must be 21 and over. Drinks are pretty expensive a Long Island is about $12, but the drinks are good. Admission is Ladies free on Friday depending on performances and males are $30. If you go to the web site you can a reduce coupon. Which ladies will get in for $10 and males for $20. Bathrooms are very clean and there is always good music I wouldn't stop dancing. The type of music the have is salsa, reggeaton, and HIP-HOP.

Cons: drinks are expensive, long lines, Bar, Older crowd
Overall user rating: Recommended / Highly Recommended
